Shri Chetan Shah

Executive Chairman

Chetan Shah is a Management Graduate and has been associated with the group for the last 42 years. Under his guidance and tutelage, the Ashapura Group has metamorphosed from a single product – single location company into a multi-mineral solutions conglomerate spread over 8 countries across the globe offering more than 120 products. Globally, Ashapura is a preferred supplier of more than 10 million tons of minerals to over 70 countries.

Chetan Shah is a perennial source of inspiration for the Group’s 2,800 + employees. Ashapura has greatly benefited from his inclination to share his dreams and their fruits with all the group’s stakeholders.

The Ashapura Group over the years has imbibed its philanthropic streak from Chetan Shah, the Ashapura Foundation has touched thousands of lives through its initiatives in water harvesting, education, vocation training and women’s empowerment and social upliftment through the restoration and promotion of arts & crafts from Gujarat.

Shri Rajnikant Pajwani

Shri Rajnikant Pajwani is a mechanical engineer by qualification. He is endowed with expertise in aspects of mining, mineral processing, projects, logistics, resource development and business development by virtue of his over 3 decades of rich and varied experience in the mining and mineral processing industry.

Shri Rajnikant Pajwani’s global expertise in regulatory and policy aspects of the mining industry coupled with his techo-commercial acumen would make him a welcome addition to the august of Board of Directors of Ashapura Minechem Ltd.

Shri Ashok Kadakia

(Non-Executive Independent Director)

Ashok Kadakia is an Industrialist with over 3 decades of experience in Chemical Industry.

Shri Abhilash Munsif

(Non-Executive Independent Director)

Abhilash Munsif is a well-experienced diplomat, fully conversant with the working of United Nation systems and the High Level Commissions. He has worked for 8 years in private sector in London. He has also held positions at CFO / CAO / Director Level with several organs of United Nations in Switzerland, Asia & Africa and with High Level Commissions like “South Commission”, comprising 18 countries & Summit level group of Developing Countries (G-15) comprising 15 countries.

His last assignment was with ‘World Intellectual Property Organization (Geneva) as the Director of Finance for 8 years. He has travelled extensively to over 50 countries, has met several heads of the states and/or governments, and has established excellent connections at the highest level in several countries in Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Middle East.

Shri Harish Motiwalla

Harish Motiwalla is a fellow Member of Institute of Chartered accountants of India. He is also a Law Graduate. He has also completed DISA certification Course conducted by Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He is a Practising Chartered Accountant and has vast expertise in the field of accounts, finance and corporate governance.

Shri Pundarik Sanyal

(Non-Executive Independent Director)

Shri Pundarik Sanyal, B.Sc. Tech. (Textile Technology), has over 30 years of expertise in various areas of the banking industry. After working for about two and a half years in the shop floor of top Textile Mills in Ahmedabad, he joined Bank of India in the year 1973 as a Direct Recruit Officer. In a span of 34 years, he worked in London Branch as an officer in Credit and Management Information Department, posted as country head in Africa for over three and a half years and worked as a Top Executive Grade VII - General Manager from May 2001.

He showed 6 years of consistent high performance as MD on deputation to a lending NBFC & holding company for a Primary dealer in G-Sec, Equity Broking (since sold to Standard Chartered Bank) & Commodity Broking. He also served as a Govt. of India nominated Director in Central Warehousing Corporation of India under the Ministry of Food & Agriculture.
