Animal Care:

Cattle is a source of income for the Kutch people but many die due to lack of water and fodder

  • Drinking water supplied to take care of more than 4450 animals
  • Total 1.2 million kg fodder to 7435 animals. Community Grass development covers 100 acres of land to provide long term feed for about 1500 animals. Also animal vaccination camps were held where more than 2200 animals were benefited.
Education:

Due to insufficient water, poor weather and land conditions and poverty agriculture is neglected and extremely primitive.

  • Irrigation for 3500 acres of farm land Water for irrigation to more than 650 farmer families
  • 4300 different varieties of trees planted and concept of social forestry encouraged.
  • Farmers trained and motivated to understand new methods of farming. 3645 mango trees were planted which will ensure them steady annual income after a few years.
  • Improved seeds for better yield provided to 1370 farmers of 34 villages covering 6650 acres of land
